We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager with defense experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) to oversee the operational readiness and maintenance of military vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing fleet maintenance operations across brigades, ensuring vehicles are mission-ready and compliant with defense standards. This role requires extensive knowledge of military land systems, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities for land systems, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Manage work orders and workflows between multiple brigades, ensuring effective communication and prioritization of critical tasks.
Oversee MRO operations for vehicles such as armored vehicles, trucks, and other defense land systems.
Collaborate with technical teams, engineers, and maintenance personnel to ensure optimal fleet performance and readiness.
Monitor and track fleet maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with defense standards and minimizing downtime.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies that maximize fleet efficiency and availability.
Manage budgets for fleet maintenance, repair parts, and labor, ensuring cost-effective operations within allocated resources.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, defense policies, and quality standards for vehicle maintenance.
Analyze fleet performance data and maintenance KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
Lead and mentor a team of maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and repair facilities when needed for specialized services.
Provide technical reports, maintenance status updates, and recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience managing fleet operations in a defense environment, particularly with MRO for military land systems.
Strong knowledge of military vehicle maintenance processes, including armored vehicles, trucks, and support equipment.
Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating large-scale maintenance and repair operations.
Familiarity with military standards, regulations, and compliance requirements for vehicle maintenance.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
