This position is responsible for leading a team maintenance, ensuring the successful completion of tasks, and providing technical expertise in mechanical engineering, organizing the workshop and create a system. This position requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning and Oversight
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment.
Oversee daily maintenance activities and ensure timely completion.
Monitor and optimize equipment performance.
Team Management
Supervise maintenance technicians and junior engineers.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Provide training and support to team members to enhance skills and efficiency.
Technical Expertise
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Recommend and implement equipment modifications or upgrades.
Analyze root causes of mechanical failures and propose corrective actions.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain records of maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment histories.
Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Collaboration
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, quality) to align maintenance with
operational needs.Work with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
Budget and Resource Management
Manage the maintenance department’s budget.
Procure spare parts, tools, and equipment as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility is a plus.
7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of leading and
managing teams.Must has an knowledge and experience in Volvo and Mercedes-Benz trucks
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and design standards.
Proficiency in computer and other engineering tools.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to create maintains (SOP) and depts. manual procedure.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to mechanical engineering projects.
