The Paralegal is responsible for coordinating all legal matters related to business transactions and corporate governance. This role ensures compliance with UAE laws and regulations, as well as adherence to company directives and contractual obligations. The candidate will also support contract management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution while maintaining legal records and documentation. Additionally, the role ensures that all legal processes are maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the company operates within all applicable UAE legal requirements, laws, and regulations.
Draft, revise, and finalize legal correspondences with customers, vendors, partners, UAE authorities, and other stakeholders.
Assist in editing, developing, and drafting contracts and agreements.
Stay updated on developments in relevant legal fields and report on new legislation’s implications for the business.
Review and interpret internal policies and procedures to assist departments with regulatory compliance.
Assist in resolving litigations and disputes with external parties.
Coordinate with Corporate Legal Counsel to finalize legal documents.
Provide regular legal management reports and update the Contracts and Procurement teams on ongoing legal activities.
Translate, amend, and type legal documents in both Arabic and English.
Maintain legal records, files, and databases.
Ensure high-value company property is maintained, inventoried, and safeguarded.
Travel to other locations when required to perform duties.
Support other employees in the Contracts and Procurement Department in fulfilling their roles.
Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager, Contracts and Subcontracts, and the Director, Contracts and Procurement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law required; Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a legal field.
Experience:
Minimum 5-6 years of legal experience in the UAE.
Experience in preparing and managing commercial contracts with customers and vendors.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Other Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
