This pivotal role combines Sales, Marketing, and Business Development, where the selected candidate will oversee and execute strategic initiatives to drive revenue, expand market share, and enhance the overall sales and marketing function of the company. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the cement industry, with a proven track record of managing high-value sales operations and leading digital transformation within sales functions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing Strategy (60%)
Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies tailored to the cement industry to drive growth, maximize revenue, and increase market share.
Design and execute innovative marketing campaigns, including digital, traditional, and trade-specific strategies, to expand brand reach, customer engagement, and loyalty.
Lead and manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing high-value contracts, ensuring sustained revenue growth.
Ensure the sales team is equipped with the right tools, training, and resources to exceed sales targets and achieve measurable growth in customer acquisition and retention.
Lead and manage all sales and marketing functions, focusing on driving new business development (40%), increasing market penetration, and enhancing sales performance across the business.
Business Development & Transformation (40%)
Restructure and implement new business models to enhance the company’s competitive edge in the cement market, focusing on digital transformation of sales processes.
Lead pricing strategies that are competitive, profitable, and aligned with market demands and cost structures.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business ventures and opportunities, including expanding the customer base and entering new markets or regions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as distributors, clients, and suppliers to foster long-term business growth.
Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitor performance to develop strategies that support market expansion and growth.
Team Leadership and Departmental Transformation
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing teams to ensure effective performance and achievement of targets, aligning team goals with overall business objectives.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the department evolves in line with industry best practices, technological advancements, and changing market conditions.
Oversee the restructuring of the sales department, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and organizational structure align with strategic objectives.
Market Analysis & Reporting
Continuously monitor market and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and competitor activities to senior management for informed decision-making.
Leverage market research and competitor analysis skills to drive the development of actionable strategies and KPIs, ensuring the company remains ahead of industry trends.
Experience:
A minimum of 11 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, and business development within the cement industry, preferably with direct experience at competitor companies.
Proven ability to manage a sales turnover of SAR 300M to 400M annually, consistently achieving revenue growth and profitability targets.
Hands-on experience in digital transformation of sales and marketing processes, leveraging technology to improve customer acquisition and retention.
Strong experience in B2B sales, including negotiating high-value contracts and cultivating long-term business relationships with key stakeholders.
Proven track record of market expansion, including identifying new opportunities and successfully penetrating new markets.
Skills:
Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
Extensive knowledge of cement products and the cement manufacturing process.
Exceptional skills in sales planning, market analysis, pricing strategies, and marketing campaign management.
Strong business acumen, with a focus on results and profitability.
Expertise in P&L management, cost optimization, and setting KPIs to drive performance.
