Our client is seeking a highly experienced and driven Sales Manager / Business Development Manager with a proven track record in selling advanced, technology-driven solutions to the naval industry across the GCC market.
The company is a high-tech solution and service provider based in the United Arab Emirates, actively engaged in various sectors and collaborating with top international industrial companies. It has a notable track record in offering commercial, technical, and logistical support services to international companies, particularly in securing contracts with Defense and Security Authorities in the GCC region. Over the past 40 years, the company has successfully executed significant projects in the UAE, especially in the Defense sector.
They provide customized solutions and services for the Government sector, including Defense/Security, Energy, Cybersecurity/Data Disaster Recovery, Water Treatment, Integrated Logistic Support, and Engineering upgrades.
In the Defense sector, the company has a proven track record in various fields such as Underwater Systems, Naval Artilleries, Missiles, Ammunition, Radars, Fire Control Systems, Combat Management Systems, Combat System Integration, Helicopter Visual Landing Aids, and Naval Vessels.
Key achievements include the supply of torpedoes, sonar systems, mines, remotely operated vehicles, medium and small caliber naval guns, radars, combat management systems, fire control systems, and helicopter visual landing aids. Additionally, the company has provided integrated logistic support for these systems and platforms, ensuring their effective operation and maintenance.
The company has also supplied platforms for corvettes and offshore patrol vessels, including various advanced systems and weaponry, contributing to the defense capabilities of the UAE.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the naval defense sector, with a deep understanding of advanced maritime systems, including radars, sonar technologies, naval weapon systems, electronic warfare, and combat management solutions. Proficiency in Arabic and a background in Electrical Engineering are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives in collaboration with the General Manager.
Create and manage the sales budget, setting achievable sales targets and performance goals.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to meet targets effectively.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify business growth opportunities within the naval defense sector.
Support partners by promoting and selling advanced naval systems, including underwater surveillance, electronic warfare, and combat management solutions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with navies, defense ministries, shipbuilders, contractors, and integrators.
Provide technical support, product insights, and strategic guidance to clients and partners, tailoring solutions to operational needs.
Present detailed reports on sales performance, market dynamics, and competitor insights to senior leadership.
Collaborate with product teams to recommend product enhancements and develop customized solutions aligned with client requirements.
Technical Competencies:
In-depth technical knowledge of maritime defense systems, cybersecurity, software solutions, and advanced naval technologies.
Expertise in advanced naval products and systems, including:
Underwater Systems:
Sonar technologies, torpedoes, hull-mounted sonar, and ROVs.
Naval Artilleries:
Medium-caliber naval guns, ammunition, and remote-controlled turrets.
Electronic Warfare:
Search and surveillance radars, missile guidance systems, and communication jamming solutions.
Combat Systems:
Combat Management Systems (CMS), Combat System Integration (CSI), Fire Control Systems (FCS), and Electro-Optical (EO) solutions.
Naval Platforms:
Navigation systems, integrated bridge systems, and advanced propulsion control systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
Advanced negotiation skills with experience in government tenders, military procurement, and defense contracting.

Qualifications and Experience:

5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the naval defense sector in the GCC region.
Expertise in complex technological solutions for naval defense, including radars, sonar systems, and combat management technologies.
Valid UAE Driving License.
