Senior Manager, Armament Workshop is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to all assigned workshop employees. This role oversees the maintenance, inspection, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls, and repairs of light and heavy tracked and wheeled vehicle turret systems, weapons, and small arms. The incumbent ensures that all activities comply with technical manuals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Additionally, the role ensures that maintenance processes align with ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide immediate leadership, guidance, and supervision to all assigned Armament Workshop employees.
Plan and oversee the execution of all maintenance activities, focusing on tracked and wheeled turret systems, weapons, and small arms.
Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with technical manuals, KPIs, and OEM specifications.
Develop and enforce maintenance and quality directives in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.
Supervise final inspections to ensure high-quality vehicle, assembly, or subassembly maintenance.
Prioritize and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) according to SAP PM orders.
Review, approve, and manage maintenance tasks and work orders within SAP.
Oversee spare parts research and ensure that only required parts are requisitioned.
Monitor the storage and disposal of hazardous materials per environmental regulations.
Ensure all maintenance-related documentation is completed and residual spare parts are returned to storage.
Track daily and weekly maintenance reports in SAP.
Ensure that all issued tools, test equipment, and high-value property are properly maintained, inventoried, and safeguarded.
Conduct performance reviews and training assessments for workshop employees, recommending additional training as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all company information.
Perform additional duties as required by the Associate Director, Maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in the field.
Experience:
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in supervising, managing, or directing maintenance of light and heavy tracked/wheeled turret systems.
Previous military experience or automotive industry management in weapons and small arms maintenance is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Other Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
