The MTL will be responsible for the repair, diagnosis, assembly, adjustment, testing, and calibration of various equipment and appliances within the base and Cargo City areas, with a strong understanding of basic electrical principles. The MTL will also perform other tasks as assigned by the Site Manager or Program leadership in accordance with international, U.S., Air Force, PWS (Performance Work Statement) guidelines, and other industry standards.
The MTL must be available within 2 hours to meet with government personnel on-site to address any issues or concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Fitness Center Equipment: Maintenance and repair of fitness equipment.
Appliances: Repair and maintenance of appliances such as popcorn machines, laundry machines, household appliances, dorm furnishings, and other items.
Pool Maintenance: Maintenance and repair of pool equipment and systems.
Lodging Equipment: Maintenance of washers, dryers, refrigerators, mattresses, dehumidifiers, furniture, and other related items.
Grounds Maintenance Equipment: Repair and upkeep of outdoor maintenance equipment.
Mortuary Equipment: Maintenance of mortuary-related appliances.
Planning and Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with quality control standards and governing guidelines.
Supervision: Overseeing maintenance staff and ensuring tasks are completed effectively.
Personnel Management: Providing input into hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations of staff.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring all work is documented and complies with international, U.S., Air Force, and PWS standards.
Additional Duties: Performing other duties as directed by the Site Manager or Program leadership.
Requirements:
Experience: At least three (3) years of relevant maintenance experience, including basic knowledge of electrical principles, preferably on a U.S. military installation with a similar mission/project.
Leadership: At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Experience using basic tools and instruments to repair, diagnose, assemble, adjust, test, and calibrate fitness equipment and appliances.
Austere Environment Experience: Previous work experience in an austere, overseas (OCONUS) environment with a multinational workforce.
Customer Service: Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Licensing: Valid local driver’s license and passport.
Security Clearance: Active Interim/Secret clearance with the ability to maintain it throughout the deployment.
Medical and Visa Requirements: Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain/maintain the necessary country visa (as required by the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance (U.S. citizenship required for Secret clearance).
